Brief description of the organisation |
Nottingham is a major research-intensive university with great expertise in numerical modelling of complex fluid processes including environmental flows and on the development of adapted numerical and physical models.
UNOTT relevant expertise is shown through the wide diversity of projects in which they have participated, such as crystallization technologies for prevention of salt water intrusion, groundwater artificial recharge based on alternative sources of water: advanced integrated technologies and management, the dynamics of thin film flows, numerical simulation of thin films around obstacles, etc. .
Role in MUSTANG
UNOTT will be in charge for the development of numerical models for for CO2 transport In particular, UNOTT will develop process models for hydro-mechanical rock deformation, for sealing processes and dynamic simulation of changes on the local fluid pressure by leakages through growing cracks at the inner and outer CO2 plume regions, among others.
